Virtual Scavenger Hunt - We are finishing the Scavenger Hunt we started last week. 
Remember to only use World Book Student to search for the topics below. You need to write down 3-5 interesting facts for each topic. 
If you finish (yay you!) read on MyOn (or a book of your choosing).

Field Trip Research - If you need to finish your field trip from last time, do that first and then you can do your research. 
This week we are doing research connected to last week's Field Trip!
Below are the instructions: 

Step 1: Using the chart below, find the Search Terms you need for today’s research. The Search Terms you will use are from the field trip you completed last week.
Step 2: Write the Search Terms down on your paper (use the same paper from last week if you still have it).
Step 3: Login to Clever.
Step 4: Find World Book Online and open it. (It is located under Library References, or you can search for it. 
Step 5: Click the Yellow Open button under the Student section.
Step 6: Type one of the Search Terms into the search bar.
Step 7: Read the article about that topic.
Step 8: Write 3-5 facts that you learned from the article on your paper.

Step 9: Repeat Steps 6-8 until you’ve looked up each of the topics or class is over. (If you finish early, read on MyOn!)

8. What character traits do you share with the person?
9. What fact did you find most interesting about the person? Why?
10. Who do you know that is similar to the person? How are they the same?

Meeting 4 Objectives:

Meeting 3 Objectives: 
  • Students will watch our recorded lesson, then they will login to Clever (via the HUB), and begin their research using the Library References section. 
  • While students are researching they will use the Notefacts PDF file, or their own paper, to take notes and answer the questions they came up with during our last meeting. 
  • Students can login to our Teams meeting if they have additional questions. 
  • Nothing needs to be submitted this week! Just make sure you keep track of your notes. ​

Meeting 2 Objectives: 
Students are tasked with coming up with guiding questions for their research, and reviewing our research goals.
Students can use their own paper to write down their guiding questions, and the file (step 1.5 questions) has some question starters and guidelines. 
The step 2 research goals file contains our goals for this project. Please review it. 
The Library Week 2 checklist is a document to make sure you've completed everything from both of our meetings.


We will begin researching our topic during our next meeting. 
There is nothing to turn in today (unless you didn't submit your topic last time!).
